About The Artist

I create functional ceramic art from scratch in my studio at The Craft Yard in Castlecomer. Over the past five years, I’ve focused on developing my skills and building a strong foundation in ceramics, and in the last year I’ve been establishing my own studio practice.

All of my designs are original, handmade out of high fired stoneware clay, and decorated and painted by hand using different techniques and materials. I enjoy experimenting with clay and decorative techniques, which is reflected in the variety of work I produce. Commissions are always welcome, as they offer an opportunity to explore new ideas and challenge my creativity.

My work is centred around the idea of bringing a sense of enjoyment and quiet pleasure into everyday life through objects that are both functional and thoughtfully made. This is where the idea of “functional ceramic art” comes from, and it continues to evolve with my practice. ☺️
